For example, a user who prioritises speed and performance might prefer Google Chrome, while someone who values privacy and security might prefer Mozilla Firefox. A user who uses Apple devices might prefer Safari, while someone who uses Microsoft software might prefer Microsoft Edge.

So, What IS The Best & Fastest Browser?
After conducting a series of cross-browser tests and experiments to verify the functionality of websites and applications, I could not definitively declare any single browser as the 'best', as that's a matter of opinion (personal preferences). However, the fastest (for my PC specifications) was Google Chrome.
Moreover, during the tests, I noticed they all performed differently depending on the time of day. This meant that the scores I received from the online browser speed test websites did not accurately and conclusively reflect the true speed of any browser.
Trying to test different browsers to determine the best option can be challenging due to several factors, including broadband speed fluctuations, peak usage hours which can cause broadband speeds to fluctuate, as well as the weather and the quality of your Wi-Fi or broadband connection
Furthermore, without getting too scientific and technical, these are just a few examples that make it challenging to compare different browsers objectively.
The following is what each company advertises about the speed of their respective browser on their website

- Edge: "world-class performance and speed that are optimised to work best with Windows."
- Opera: "Faster, safer and smarter than default browsers."
- Safari: "when it comes to speed, it’s the world’s fastest browser."

If you want one that's fast and reliable with a wide range of features, you can choose from all the above-mentioned browsers. For maximum privacy online, consider browsers like 'Epic', 'Firefox', 'InBrowser', 'Mullvad', 'Onion', and 'Tempest'.
For gamers, as already mentioned, 'Opera GX' is another solid choice. It might not be for everyone, but it offers CPU, RAM, and network limiters for fine-tuning performance while you game. Plus, it includes some cool gaming-specific features like news and deals, Twitch integration, and more. If you're a Windows user and gamer, consider 'Microsoft Edge'. It integrates seamlessly with Windows 10/11 and boasts an efficiency mode specifically designed to prevent performance drops during game-play. They're also actively adding gaming features directly into the browser.
For web developers and designers, all the above browsers have many features. However, 'Opera Developer' and 'Firefox Developer Edition' are designed for web developers and offer unique features such as built-in developer tools and support for multiple programming languages.
Apart from these, there are several other highly recommended browsers by web developers, designers, and regular PC users, such as Avant, Blisk, Brave, Chromium, LT Browser, Opera GX, and Polypane.
Ultimately, the best browser for you is the one that feels most user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Even the fastest browser can be frustrating if you don't like its design. Therefore, choose a browser that you find comfortable and easy to use. I use multiple browsers for various reasons, but my primary browser is Opera.
